The MHSA Music Programme is led by experienced and experienced educators and is designed to prepare students to enrol at universities or music colleges, whether they want to explore other musical genres - related fields - or make music on a daily basis. The MHSA Music Faculty consists of master and doctoral students - musicians and educators who can work together with experienced music educators in their field of study. In the past, he has received a Master of Music degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from the University of Milwaukee. Performances have included performances with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, the Milwaukee Public Schools Ensemble, and contemporary regional orchestras, including the Wisconsin Symphony, the Wisconsin Orchestra of Milwaukee, the Madison Symphony, and the Milwaukee Chamber Orchestra.
Raymond Roberts is a music teacher at Milwaukee High School of the Arts, where he has taught since 1991. He taught all music disciplines and is currently music director of Cascio - Interstate Music, a professional music education organization in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His extensive experience in music education includes a Master of Music degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Arts degree in music education from Wisconsin State University - Milwaukee. CASCIO - interstate Music also maintains the Milwaukee Public Schools Performing Arts Center (MPSAC) and the Wisconsin Public School Ensemble.
He has also been active in the Milwaukee music community, appearing as a guest conductor with the UWM Honors Orchestra, and has been with the Wisconsin Public School Orchestra, Milwaukee High School of the Arts, and the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. He was also recognized in School Band and Orchestra Magazine as one of 50 principals representing Wisconsin and making a difference in the school band and orchestra training in Wisconsin, the state's largest music education organization.
In 2013, Grauer received the Legion of Honor Award from the John Philip Sousa Foundation for his significant contribution to the teaching profession through his dedication to the music of bands and bands. Mr. Graurer has been conducting bands and orchestras in the Midwest and serves as adjudicator at the WSMA. His music has been played by bands around the country, including the UWM Honors Orchestra, Milwaukee High School of the Arts and Wisconsin Public School Orchestra. He has also performed with the New York Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Chicago Public Schools.
Model of the Arts Propel is presented by Mr. Amaya as a collaboration between the UW-Madison School of Music and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Center for Music Education.
The event is free and offers renowned drummers and percussionists from a wide range of genres. On October 27, we welcome four music industry drummers to the University of Wisconsin - Madison School of Music and the Milwaukee Center for Music Education.
Dr. Doug Syme has been an award-winning drummer in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Army National Guard since August 2001. He has led and conducted the Pangaea Steel Drum Group, taught percussion ensembles and marching percussion, and has played with orchestras in the U.S. Air Force, Army, Marine and Marine Corps, among others.
Mr. Grauer is excited to join the staff of the MHSA and the US Army Corps of Engineers and the Army National Guard and looks forward to helping students achieve the highest level of performance as individual musicians and to uphold the tradition of excellence demonstrated by the MHSA groups. Mr. Amaya is a freelance musician and currently director of music education at the University of Wisconsin - Madison's School of Music. Dr. Carl D'Amaya, award-winning percussionist, has played with touring artists and has performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic and other major orchestras, as well as in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Australia.
