The City of West Allis has invited artists to submit ideas for a new downtown street art project and has begun a collaboration with three artists who will bring color and an artistic voice to the streets. For the fourth mural, which will be installed in the so-called Lamplight Building, an artist has already been selected. The five-story space is painted by a Colorado artist (real name Thomas Evans) who is studying at the University of Wisconsin - Madison's School of Art and Design.

The MAM will house a number of public artworks along Wisconsin Avenue. The mural, painted in front of the Milwaukee County Courthouse in the Lamplight Building on the corner of Wisconsin and Milwaukee Avenue, is from outside the Milwaukee area. It is begged by a nationally recognized African-American artist known for his murals in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and other cities in the country.

Cream City Clay will stage an outdoor raku fire at the Milwaukee County Courthouse in front of the Lamplight Building on the corner of Wisconsin and Milwaukee Avenue. The studio will exhibit the work of its members in the lobby, along with a variety of other artworks by local artists and artists from around the country.
