“I love Hawley School. This is the most caring and dedicated school I have every been a part of. I am a Social Worker and has had the chance to observe many schools. I have a child in the 2nd grade here and already have plans for my 2yr old to attend K-4 here at Hawley. I want to give a great big Thank You to principal Stavens, you really are the heart of the school and keep it structured and going. :-)”

“I have done some health-related presentations with the 4th & 5th grade classrooms and was very impressed with Hawley! The students are eager to learn and participate well and it is evident that the teacher-student relationships provide a fantastic learning environment. Hawley is also one of the few schools in the Milwaukee area with an emphasis on increasing environmental awareness and being green, which is critical to instill in children at an early age. Hawley is a great example for MPS!!”

“My son is in K-4 and he really enjoys his teacher and classmates. He's told me about recycling and the various gardens he's visited. He pays more attention to the environment around him.At Hawley he's nurtured and allowed to think creatively. I love it!”

“I love Hawley because of the theme of their school. They teach my kids about keeping the environment clean and green. About preserving the atmosphere and knowing what it does to it if u don't help keep it clean and green. All 3 of my children have gone there and I have been very pleased with the staff and the teachers. They have made a difference in my children's life. I love that they are a multicultural school and does not judge anyone. Since my kids have gone there, everytime we go somewhere and they see garbage on the floors they help pick it up and says 'my teacher said we should help keep the earth clean.' This is the reason why Hawley is the best school for my kids.”

“Hawley is a very good school. My 2 children attend and are in the k-4, k-5 classes. My son learned to read as soon as he entered k-5 and he is one of the strongest readers in his class. My daughter has already began reading short stories and gets excited when she learns new words. My children are excited about going to school everyday and compared to their peers who attend different schools, they are both well advanced.”

“Hawley school is an excellent school. The teachers have lots of teaching experience and most have been at Hawley for years. They are very caring and competent. The students are diverse and ready to learn. I have had children at other schools and private schools and Hawley is by far my favorite learning environment. The parents are great and there is much parental involvement and feeling of community.”

“I currently have two children attending this school and I couldn't be happier. I would even prefer this school changing the grade limit and going up to eight grade. I hate the idea of my children leaving this school and the wonderful staff. The staff has always made sure the kids get the best help possible. They work with the families to ensure the success of the children. There is no better school than Hawley.”

“I'v been a hawley parents for the last ten years. My second oldest just finished 5th grade. My youngest will be in 4th grade in the fall of 2005. I would not think of sending my children to a different grade school in milwaukee, wisconsin. I love this school. It has great parent involvement and the teachers and wonderful and caring. The Environmental Education program is excellent. I would tell any parent of a grade schooler to send their child here.”
